When deciding how to fashion your hair for your big day, consider pulling it in to a low do. This type of style is quickly rising to the top of most trendy ideas for brides because it provides several options for women with short to long hair. Additionally, the bride can still wear a tiara and veil if she desires, or she can wear another type of hair accessory that suits her bridal style.

Wear your hair in a low bun on your wedding day. This graceful and elegant low do was made famous by Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn. To create the low bun, pull all of your hair back into a ponytail secured at the nape of your neck. Pull the tail straight out and twist until it begins to tighten. Wrap the ponytail around the base of the ponytail holder and secure with bobby pins. The ideal feature of the low bun is you can wrap flowers or other accent pieces around the bun to accent your dress.

Low Side Bun

The low side bun is quickly rising to the top of most trendy hairstyles for brides. Similar to the low bun, the side bun is secured under the left or right ear. Pull the hair into a ponytail and twist. Wrap the twisted hair around the base of the bun and secure with bobby pins. To create a loose side bun, skip the bobby pins and wrap another ponytail holder around the hair. This will secure the bun, but create a loose effect so the bun sags slightly. Wear accents at the top of the bun, just at your ear to accent your dress. In addition, pull wisps of hair out to frame the face.

Curly Pin-Up

Women with naturally curly hair or medium-length hair can curl and pin their hair. This adds a romantic vibe to the hair and works well with any type of wedding gown. To create the style, hold a 1-inch curling iron vertical to your head and curl the hair into several spiral curls. Gather the curled hair at the nape of the neck into a loose ponytail. Tuck the stem of the ponytail upward, underneath the base of the loose ponytail and secure with clips or bobby pins. Pull tendrils out around your face and sporadically throughout the hair. Place a tiara, veil or other hair accessory at the side of the face or just above the clips at the nape of the neck.

Side Ponytail with Poof

Brides with long hair who want a hairstyle but also want to leave their hair long will look beautiful in a long ponytail with poof. Curl long hair with large hot rollers and wait for them to cool completely. Remove the curlers and brush hair softly with a paddle brush. Add a poof to the crown of your head by teasing the hair and spraying with hairspray. The poof can be as high or low as you desire. Pull the hair back loosely and secure under your left or right ear. Use the long end of a comb to add additional height to the hair and pull out a few tendrils around the face. This style works well if you want to place a tiara or veil at the top of the head.
