Sleepovers and slumber parties are a right of passage for teens and involve crazy antics, fun games and late nights. To keep themselves occupied until the wee hours, creativity often comes into play. Doing makeup and hair can be a fun way to pass the time. If hair is a focus, teens can try one of a few different hair games that combine wild styling with color and glamor.

Write the name of each partygoer on a scrap of paper, fold the scraps up and place them in a hat or bowl. Have each teen draw a name. The goal of the game is for the person drawing the name to copy the hairstyle of the person named on the scrap of paper. Challenge the teens and do not let them bend the rules and change names. They may just discover new looks that really suit them.

Funky Colors

Many stores that specialize in novelties and items for teens carry various types of temporary hair coloring. After securing parental permission and locating a few smocks or old shirts that can be thrown away after use, have the teens help one another dye their hair. Encourage wild styles that they may have seen on their favorite celebrities. Offer up a prize for the wildest hair style.

Feathers and Weaves

The same stores that sell temporary hair dye also sell colorful fake hair and feathers that can be woven into hair. Allow the teens to add color and style to their hair with these accessories. Challenge the teens to determine who is the best stylist. Have any adults in the house pick the winner and allow the winner to style the hair of that adult.

Celebrity Styling

Hold a look-a-like contest and encourage the teens to style their hair like that of their favorite celebrities. Offer magazines with pictures of celebrities from the past and present. Focus on celebrities known for crazy hairstyles such as Lady Gaga, Madonna, Pink, Cyndi Lauper and Rhianna.
